Invisible Children: Global Night Commute
The Global Night Commute takes place tonight. People from around the world will converge on urban centers in solidarity with displaced Ugandan children who are attempting to avoid capture by the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) as seen in the Invisible Children film. Joseph Kony, the primary leader of the LRA, is wanted on crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court and needs to be stopped. Christianity Today describes Kony's horror and World Vision also explains the crisis. The Ugandan military has attempted to kill Kony for most of the insurgency, but authorities say his whereabouts are impossible to confirm, pictures of him are rare and few outside the LRA have even met Kony. Sound familiar?
